FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – July 6, 2012 – Online broker-dealer TradeKing (www.tradeking.com) today announced the firm’s Senior Options Analyst and Options Playbook author, Brian Overby, will host a July webinar entitled, “Christmas Tree Butterflies: Setup, Risks and Uses.” The webinar will take place on Wednesday, July 11 at 5 p.m. ET and is free to all investors.
The Christmas Tree butterfly strategy can be used to attempt to lower the cost of a standard butterfly. But because lower cost often brings on more risk in the options world, Overby will explain in detail the potential tradeoffs of Christmas trees compared to “standard” butterfly strategies.
This webinar complements TradeKing’s ongoing “Midday Market Call” series of lunchtime webinars, taking place each Tuesday at noon ET. Midday Market Call hosts, Overby and Barron’s “Getting Technical” columnist and Chartered Market Technician, Michael Kahn of Quick Takes Pro, spend 10-15 minutes analyzing the major market indices, followed by Kahn sharing the Quick Takes Pro “Chart of the Day.” Overby then discusses at least one options trade based on Kahn’s chart.
